Since there’s no trunk 0 to strip, the most common error the validator flags is a stray leading 0 added by habit, which turns a valid nine-digit number into an invalid ten-digit one.
What a pass doesn’t tell you
A pass confirms the digits match a genuine Angolan mobile shape — it doesn’t confirm the SIM is active or currently topped up. A correctly formatted number can still belong to nobody reachable.
