Belarus Phone Number validator
How the phone number format works
- Format
- Belarus phone number in national or international (+375) format
- Example
- +375294911911
Things to watch for
- Accepts national or international (E.164, e.g. +375...) format
- Validated with Google's libphonenumber; confirms the number is possible/valid for this country, not that it is currently assigned or reachable
^[+]?[0-9 ()\-]{6,}$A Belarusian phone number carries the same domestic-trunk quirk as Russia’s numbering system: locally, a number is dialed with a leading 8 rather than 0, and that 8 is replaced entirely by +375 in international form. A mobile dialed as 8 029 491 19 11 at home becomes +375 29 491 19 11 abroad — the digits behind the trunk prefix don’t change, only the prefix itself does. The country’s 9-digit national number splits into a 2-digit operator code (25, 29, 33, or 44 among them) plus a 7-digit local number.
How this validator works
Enter the number domestically (80294911911) or internationally (+375294911911); this tool checks the 9-digit national number and its leading operator code against Belarus’s real numbering plan using Google’s libphonenumber, entirely client-side. It’s built to catch the specific mistake of keeping the domestic 8 in front of +375, along with digit counts that don’t match any assigned Belarusian code.
What a pass doesn’t tell you
A pass confirms the number is structurally valid for Belarus — it says nothing about whether that mobile is currently topped up or the landline connected, since live status needs a carrier-side check this tool doesn’t do.
Scope: use this to catch a kept trunk 8, a wrong operator code, or a malformed +375 entry before it reaches a form — not as confirmation the number rings.

phone number FAQ
Why does a Belarusian number start with 8 domestically instead of 0?
Belarus inherited the same trunk-digit convention as Russia: the domestic long-distance prefix is 8, not 0. A mobile dialed locally as 8 029 491 19 11 becomes +375 29 491 19 11 internationally — the leading 8 is replaced by +375, not kept alongside it.
How many digits are in a Belarusian mobile number?
Nine digits after the +375 country code: a 2-digit operator code (such as 29 or 33) plus a 7-digit local number. Both mobile and landline numbers in Belarus reach 9 digits, though the leading codes differ.
Does a passing result mean the Belarusian number is currently active?
No. It confirms the digits match a real Belarusian mobile or landline pattern using Google's libphonenumber — it can't confirm the SIM is topped up or in service, which only the carrier network can verify.
