Cayman Islands Phone Number validator
How the phone number format works
- Format
- Cayman Islands phone number in national or international (+1) format
- Example
- +13453231234
Things to watch for
- Accepts national or international (E.164, e.g. +1...) format
- Validated with Google's libphonenumber; confirms the number is possible/valid for this country, not that it is currently assigned or reachable
^[+]?[0-9 ()\-]{6,}$A Cayman Islands phone number is a standard 10-digit North American Numbering Plan (NANP) number — 3-digit area code plus 7-digit local number, e.g. 345-323-1234 — sharing the same +1 country code and shape as the US, Canada, and a long list of other Caribbean territories. The Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean widely known as an offshore financial centre, has used a single area code, 345, since joining NANP.
How this validator works
Enter the number in local form (345-323-1234) or full international form (+13453231234); this tool checks the digit count and confirms the area code matches 345, the only code assigned to the Cayman Islands, using Google’s libphonenumber entirely client-side. Because NANP membership alone can’t distinguish territory of origin, that area-code check is what lets the validator confirm Cayman Islands specifically rather than just somewhere in the shared +1 plan.
What a pass doesn’t tell you
A pass confirms the number has the genuinely Cayman Islands area code and a plausible local number — it does not confirm the line is connected, ported, or still held by whoever gave it to you.
Scope: format and area-code-origin validation only, for catching a mistyped digit or a wrong-territory assumption before a number reaches a CRM or dialer — not a substitute for a carrier lookup.

phone number FAQ
Why does the Cayman Islands, a small territory, have a full NANP area code to itself?
NANP area codes are assigned per territory regardless of population, and the Cayman Islands — a British Overseas Territory of roughly 70,000 people, well known as an offshore financial centre — was given its own dedicated code, 345, rather than sharing a neighbour's.
If a number starts +1 345, does that rule out it being American or Canadian?
Yes. 345 is assigned specifically to the Cayman Islands within the shared NANP +1 range, so a valid 345 area code rules out US and Canadian origin, and any other NANP territory too — it's the area code, not the +1 prefix, doing that work.
Does a valid 345 number mean the line is currently active?
No. It only confirms the area code and 7-digit local number match a real Cayman Islands NANP pattern — not that the SIM is active or reachable, which needs a carrier-side lookup this tool doesn't perform.
