Because Estonia’s plan has no trunk prefix to drop, the national and international forms differ only by the +372 in front, and the validator accepts both the more common 8-digit mobile length and the shorter legacy 7-digit form.
What a pass doesn’t tell you
A pass confirms the digits match a real Estonian mobile number pattern — it says nothing about whether that specific SIM is currently active or reachable. Format validity and live-line status are separate questions; this tool only answers the first one.

Does an Estonian phone number have an area code?
No. Estonia has used a closed, flat numbering plan since 2003 — no area codes and no trunk prefix — so a number is dialed exactly the same way whether the call is local or long-distance within the country.
Do I need to strip a leading 0 when adding +372 to an Estonian number?
No. Estonian numbers don't carry a trunk 0, so the international form is simply +372 followed by the same digits — nothing is added or removed in the conversion.
