Fiji Phone Number validator
How the phone number format works
- Format
- Fiji phone number in national or international (+679) format
- Example
- +6797012345
Things to watch for
- Accepts national or international (E.164, e.g. +679...) format
- Validated with Google's libphonenumber; confirms the number is possible/valid for this country, not that it is currently assigned or reachable
^[+]?[0-9 ()\-]{6,}$A Fiji phone number is a flat 7 digits under the country code +679 — a mobile number starts with 7, 8, or 9 (701 2345). Fiji is a South Pacific archipelago of more than 300 islands, and like several other compact island nations in this validator set, its numbering plan has no area codes at all: geography doesn’t factor into the number, only the leading digit does.
How this validator works
Enter the 7 digits alone (7012345) or with the country code (+6797012345) — this tool checks the digit count and leading-digit range against Fiji’s real numbering plan using Google’s libphonenumber, entirely in your browser. With no trunk zero and a flat 7-digit plan, the most common failure here is simply a wrong digit count or an implausible leading digit.
What a pass doesn’t tell you
A pass confirms the 7 digits fall within a real Fiji numbering range — it doesn’t confirm the line is connected or the mobile SIM active. Format validity and current reachability are separate questions this tool doesn’t try to answer.
Scope: useful for catching a mistyped digit before a Fiji number reaches a form or SMS gateway — not a substitute for a real lookup service.

phone number FAQ
Does Fiji use area codes for its islands?
No. Fiji's more than 300 islands share a single flat 7-digit numbering plan with no regional area codes — a mobile number (701 2345) is identified by its leading digit, not by which island it's registered on.
Is there a trunk 0 to drop when converting to +679?
No, for standard numbers. Fiji has no national trunk prefix on its normal 7-digit ranges — the digits dialled domestically are the same digits that follow +679 internationally.
Does a valid check confirm the Fijian line is currently active?
No. It only confirms the 7 digits match a real Fiji numbering range — not that the SIM is active or the line connected, which needs a carrier-side lookup this tool doesn't perform.
